# BIS_fnc_version

*Function · Diagnostic · Arma 3 v0.50 · introduced in Arma 2 v1.00*

## Description

Detects which **Arma 2** expansions and addons are available. Only works in Arma 2/Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.

> [!NOTE]
> Arma 2: Army of the Czech Republic is not detected by this function.

## Syntax

```sqf
call BIS_fnc_version
```

**Returns:** [Array](../topics/Array.md) of [Numbers](../topics/Number.md) - can contain:

- 0: Arma 2
- 1: Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead
- 2: Arma 2: British Armed Forces
- 4: Arma 2: Private Military Company

## Examples

### Example 1

```sqf
private _availableExpansions = call BIS_fnc_version;
```

### Example 2

```sqf
private _playerHasPMC = 4 in (call BIS_fnc_version);
```
