# getRotorBrakeRTD

*Command · RTD · Arma 3 v1.34 · introduced in Take On Helicopters v1.00*

## Description

Returns the state of the rotor brake.

> [!NOTE]
> **Advanced Helicopter Flight Model:** For this command to have any effect, the [Advanced Flight Model](../topics/Advanced_Helicopter_Flight_Model.md) (AFM) has to be enabled. AFM status can be checked with [difficultyEnabledRTD](../commands/difficultyEnabledRTD.md).

## Syntax

getRotorBrakeRTD helicopter
```

**Parameters:**

**Returns:** [Number](../topics/Number.md) - rotor brake state, see [setRotorBrakeRTD](../commands/setRotorBrakeRTD.md)
